Relative to the amount of food you get is Subway too pricey? The $5 foot-long doesn't seem too bad to me especially when comparing it to Quizno's.|||Nope. $5 bucks for a meatball marinara is worth it. !
~|||I'm a vegetarian so the only sandwich I ever get there is a veggie delight. The foot long veggies used to be less than $5 for a foot long, then when they had their $5 foot long promo they raised the price of it. I wouldn't say $5 is expensive, but I can't help but feel like its a rip off. Plus they always seem to skimp on the veggies, which is infuriating. Especially when theres no meat to fill up my sandwich. Quiznos, however, has a really great veggie sandwich and they've got guacamole. yum. even though they're a little pricier than subway, the quality is definitely worth it.|||No not really. I could buy a Subway foot-long every day and be getting at least twice the value for my dollar than if I bought a school lunch every day, for instance. Personally though I'd only eat at Subway when I'm in a pinch. But for the amount of food I'd say the $5 sandwich is pretty good!
But yes, it would be cheaper if you bought all your own ingredients. (I've never attempted that, however; too difficult)|||subway is freakin expensive if you want to eat something actually good. their 5 dollar footlongs are all of the cheapest and least amount of meat subs. they put more dressing on than meat. at quiznos they have more premium subs for like 6 bucks and they are so good. and they control their amount of dressing on a sub haha

I work for a Quizno's Sub (which a very hot oven) and the AC died about a month ago. The owners have yet to fix it and say that "they don't know what to tell us." Today, it is 95 degrees outside, and about 103 inside. They say we should just take turns standing in the freezer. We are dying. Does anyone know if this is legal? Thank you, thank you!|||Yes you are right! Something needs to be done. Contact corporate headquarters for help in this matter.|||I'm pretty sure it can't go higher than 2000 degrees.
No there's no set legal temp. If you think that's is bad, try working in a glass factory in the middle of summer like I did. The glass furnaces were at 3000 degrees and the cooling oven went from about 1000 in the start and gradually cooled until the glass could be handled without tools.
Think about that the next time you go to work. You didn't have to accept the job so if you don't like it get a new job.|||Try working in a foundry. You will WISH the temperature was ONLY 103. If you work near ovens, EXPECT to be hot. I deliver pizza part time. The OPEN ovens are set at oven 500 deg. We often turn the A/C off, open the doors, and turn on 2 36" fans. It actually works better than the A/C.
Another answer CLAIMS he can think of 15 health code violations. He failed to name ONE. I submit he named ALL the violations he knows.|||Call the health department and they will keep it all anonymous. It is a health code violation. I can think of 15 violations off of the top of my head.
If it is a srtip mall or something the Quiznos people could be having issues with the landlord about this. But a month is too long. Possibly the owners are not very savy.

Going from extreme heat to the freezer will cause health problems among other things. Call your local OSHA office. I'm sure there's a sticker with that info on it somewhere in the store. Good luck! And tell the owners you've noticed a decrease in business because people are complaining that it's too hot in the place!|||There are two issues here. One is the health and safety of employees and the other involves the sanitary conditions for the food. If either or both are in specific violation, the health department should be notified. Of course, that might mean getting fired in retaliation, but then who wants to work for Quiznos forever?|||I'm not sure what state your in, but with the temps that high inside you run the risk of heat exhaustion. How much will his bill be for your medical expenses. Bet your booty it will alot more than the cost of an AC unit, drink plenty of fluids until then|||YEs there is a certain temp. for working, not sure what that temp is. I generally eat at Subway now since the Quizno's shut down. I would say that Subway is not very good and it seems like no one who works there speaks English there any longer. Plus, how can the food be so fresh if they microwave everything leaving this nasty aftertaste? Being able to count the calories is great, but Quizno's crushes Subway in the taste department. I like how they use an actual oven to toast their subs. Everything is just better. Someone needs to open a healthy "fast food store" with a drive through.|||Subway

There is a new Quizno's in our town, and after I tried it for the first time, I was hooked! It is more expensive, but well worth it. My favorites are the turkey, ranch and swiss and the mesquite chicken with bacon. It's like a gourmet sub vs. Subway's cold meat sandwich like you could make at home. But I have never really prefered Subway, can someone tell me why it is so great? It's fairly expensive too.|||Have you tried Subway toasted?? to answer your question: they use gourmet [or so they say] cheese, meat, bread....and other things the use, instead of using regular cheese, meats bread exc....|||Quizno's is great! But I also love Subway! Subway now has their sandwiches with the option of "roasted" like Quizno's for a hot sandwich. If you are looking for just pure taste go to Quizno's, but if you are health conscience go to Subway.....Quizno's only has 2 of their sandwiches nutritional info on their website.....the rest you have to call for.....which is never a good sign....this means High Fat and High Calories!
Whereas Subway has all their nutritional info listed......I love the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki on Honey Oat Bread....and it's low in Fat and Calories!
And then the chicken wrap is low in Carbs, fat and Calories
Anyway that's why I prefer Subway....it's more health conscience

At Quizno's I like the traditional but with mayo/mustard instead of Ranch.
Both are yummy but sometimes you prefer a cold sandwich that tastes like the ones you had when you were a kid.

Within the past couple of months both of my nearest Quizno's have closed. The last time something like this happened was when Chi Chi's went under. Is Quizno's doomed, too?|||I haven't heard anything about financial problems, and there's nothing on Google. There's a decent chance they were both owned by the same franchiser, and he or she ran into some financial problems.|||I never see Quizno's anymore, that seems very odd.
They may be going under, because of bigger sub places like Sub Way, and things like that.

~!|||Quiznos will always beat out Subway! They were the innovators of the toaster over baked sandwiches long before Subway. Quiznos applies and dressings and veggies (Minus lettuce, of course) on the sandwiches before putting them in the toaster oven!
Their portion sizes are more generous than Subway (Quiznos Meatball sub is a big example of the difference), and the taste is definitely a step above because of the quality of the lunchmeat and veggies, sandwich preparation and toasting style (as well as a more pure toaster oven). And their sandwiches are just more superior (The Chicken Carbonara and the Prime Rib Cheeses steak being two unique and delicious examples)
Their soups and salad are more gourmet than Subway's. And their innovative ideas like their Sammie's, Torpedo's and Bullets are far more creative, and much more healthier, than the pizza idea that Subway developed.|||I just came from California and always had a Pastrami sandwich at Subway, now I am in Oklahoma and the Subways don't have Pastrami sandwiches. When I first tried Quizno's for the first time a few years ago, the large sandwich was huge, but now it seems they've shrunk the sandwiches considerably (the width anyway). I'm in Canada. Have they done the same in all markets?|||I noticed this as well. I usually get the chopped salad there anymore.|||i'm in maryland and work in dc. i eat lunch at quiznos in dc and the sandwiches come either in the small version or the regular version.
which size are you requesting? that might make a difference when you are placing an order with them.....make sure to ask for the regular size b/c the small version is like for small children and not for adults.|||Don't know about the size of the sandwiches, but each restaurant seems to be closing one after the other around here.

Which restaurant is better between Quizno's or Subway? I've only gone to Quizno's once and I wasn't really impressed with it, I thought Subway is alot better and I like their daily specials too.|||I have had Quiznos a couple of times. Although intially I thought it would be nice to have a toasted bun, I haven't been impressed with them either. Subway just seems to get better and better, more bread choices now and they toast their buns too, you still get to pick your toppings and they are fresh. As well subway is alot cheaper than Quiznos.|||Quiiznos all the way, man!|||Subway is quite tasty. I visit them often when I vacation in the nation that is America. I also enjoy Togos for a sandwich treat|||Subway is getting on my nerves lately with how unsanitary they are. Being a strict vegetarian, I politely asked the lady to change her gloves before taking my order... She refused, so I walked out.

We have several Subway's and I'm beginning to find it's inconsistent from one store to another. I stopped and had a BLT last week and the toasted bread fell in a million pieces and the tomatoes were green. Then I stopped at another several days ago and had a BLT and everything was much better.|||I prefer Subway. I only tried Quizno's once and it was disgusting. However, my brother loves Quizno's. My wife and I had dinner tonight at Quizno's, it was ok. We wish we had gone to Subway instead. Which do you prefer?|||I actually prefer Quiznos, if I have the money for it. If I am tight on a budget for the week, I will definitely stop by Subway instead. If you've got money to spend and the time, Jason's is the best place to go if there's one around. If you're on a budget, you can get something good at Subway if you get the right thing and it's also good for a quick in and out meal. Quiznos has the best sauces but they're pretty heavy and have a lot of calories. Another REALLY good place to go for good subs is Great Outdoors. Great Outdoors probably has the freshest deli meats. I would stay away from Quizno's. Liberty Tax Service is another well known franchise for lieing to potential owners about the cost's and revenue expectation's so watch out for them also.|||I would recommend you go beyond the corporate details and look at some of the problems. Recently, there has been litigation regarding location selections. Franchisees have stated that Quiznos is growing so fast that their attention has been diverted from proper operational issues of the franchise itself. Now that's not to say that Quiznos isn't addressing the issues but it is still something you want to take a good look at before you dive in.
Additionally, I'll suggest what I always do when looking at a franchise..............Look at EXISTING shops. There are some great deals out there from disillusioned or burned out owners. Often, you can find an existing business at or below what it would take to open one from scratch and many times it is either profitable or at least breaking even. Realize that opening one from scratch could take 1-2 years just to reach the point where you're not having to supplement it out of your working capital before it holds its own. This is true with any franchise.

For a chain sub shops, if you can find them is Charlie's Grilled Subs. Charlies cooks the fresh meat right on the grill in front of you and cookd the onions and peppers on the grill. They have a good variety of food, and also have all the fancy fries variations , if your into fries.
They don't nuke their meat like subway. Quizinos, there beef is soaking in juice. The one day I seen that soupy. watery, fatty stuff drizzle off that meat while they put it on the bun to go through the toaster. YUCK, that was gross! I like to say it out loud while i write it down.
The key is to get more than one area of your brain to remember the menu. so instead of just reading it a bunch and hoping that the part of your brain that reads will remember it. you are hoping that the part that reads and then translates the reading into both verbal speech and written word.
also it is easier to remember things if they are more memorable. try grouping the like things together, try to remember all the sauces that you have, rather than just one sauce at a time. when you try to remember things by grouping them, you are activating your spacial reasoning areas of the brain. for instance, you think about what the item is in relation to where it is on the menu. its almost like looking at a map and remembering how to get to where you want to.
but the best method EVER for memorizing a menu. work there for a few weeks... you'll be dreaming about people asking what dressing comes on what salad. it gets old quick.|||Haha, my parents owned a Blimpie (similar to Quiznos) and I had to memorize everything too because I worked there. To memorize what was in certain sandwiches (ham, salami, cappacola, pepper ham, and provolone cheese), i would make up a sentence with the first letter of each word. So for the example above, I would say: "Harry Shot a Canary, Pigeon, and Pig" It definitely helped a lot
Also, look at the different types of meats and associate the texture/color if it with the sandwich.|||write down each thing at least three times and re-read it over and over again.
do this a few times and it should help.
also reading things before bed usually helps you retain the information better, i don't know why but i guess it's proven.|||memorize them in batches...like 3 at a time, and when you think you got those, do another 3..try not to cram it all in together..and take your time..3 days is enough.|||Yes, going over and over it, but also read it aloud to another person, if no one is available, then just reading it aloud by yourself if very helpful.|||read it over and over|||Write it a bunch of times and read it
Hi I want to make a sub bread like Jimmy johns, subway, quizno, tubby's, etc. you know. So do you know any good recipes out there and I perfer it be wheat.
Oh and the quality doesn't have to match up to the restaurants I mentioned I just want to make a wheat sub bread.|||INGREDIENTS
1 1/4 cups warm milk
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 cup honey
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 3/4 cups bread flour
1 cup wheat flour
1 1/4 teaspoons bread machine yeast
2 tablespoons butter, melted
DIRECTIONS
Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select dough cycle; press start.
When dough cycle has finished, turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and roll out 3/4 inch thick. Cut out rolls with a 3 to 4 inch diameter biscuit cutter. Place on lightly greased cookie sheets; cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes. When rolls are finished baking, brush with melted butter|||i dont know|||MAGIC TUNA FISH SALAD SANDWICHES
2 cans of tuna fish packed in water
1 bunch of green onions
3 jalapeno peppers
1 cup of bean sprouts
1 cup of fresh white mushrooms
1 medium tomato
several leaves of romaine lettuce
1 cucumber
3 tablespoons of mayonnaise (or if you're concerned about fat/calories use fat-free mayo)
parmesan or romano cheese (you can also top with sliced cheddar, monterey jack, pepper jack or muenster)
2- 4 slices of whole wheat bread
Chop the following ingredients into small pieces; green onions, mushrooms, set aside.
Slice jalapenos down the middle from top to bottom, discard seeds, chop into small pieces and set aside.
Slice tomatoes and peel and slice cucumbers, keep these ingredients seperate from the other veggies.
In a large bowl mix 2 cans of drained tuna, 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise thoroughly, add jalapenos, bean sprouts, green onions and mushrooms, stir ingredients until everything is mixed into tuna and mayonnaise.
Spoon this mixture onto a slice of whole wheat bread covering bread evenly, top with cheese, tomato slices, lettuce and cucumber slices and finish with a slice of wheat bread on top. Cut diagonally serve with a slice of pickle and enjoy!|||Deli Bread

1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 package yeast
3/4 cup lukewarm milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/2 cups bread flour (all-purpose will work)
Cornmeal
Stir water, sugar and yeast together and set aside.
Dissolve baking soda in 1/2 tablespoon warm water in medium bowl. Add warm milk, salt and 1 cup flour; beat till smooth. Beat in yeast mixture and remaining flour (batter will be thick and sticky, but not as thick as normal bread batter).
Spray two pie pans with cooking spray and dust with cornmeal. Divide dough and place in pie pans, cover and let rise for 1 hour.
Heat oven to 375 degrees F and bake for 20 minutes till golden. Cool 1 hour and cut in 4ths.|||well seach foodnetwork.com

I perseonally like Quizno's for the great taste. Subway tastes a bit like carboard to me.|||Quiznos is the best, hands down. Delicious subs, just walking in and it smells like a tasty toasted sub there, straight out of the oven. Prices may be a bit higher than subway but the taste and environment make it worthwhile. I am just a bit tired of hearing too many "I had subway and threw up after" stories and honesty a few dollars extra for quiznos and you won't hear that story coming from me :)|||I only like one Quizno's sub and that's the veggie sub... however I don't like Subway either. I like Mr. Sub's Santa Fe Spicy Chicken with black olives, tomato, lettuce, mayo and pickles.|||quiznos def a lot better tasting than subway only problem prices are so flippin expense for subs but yea if going for taste def would have to choose quiznos over subway|||Absolutely Quizno's. I recently went to a Quizno's store and saw that they use a dressing on their sandwiches called red wine vinagrette...Is that true? Is it really wine?|||it's made with "red wine vinegar" not "red wine"|||The definition of vinegar is "An impure dilute solution of acetic acid obtained by fermentation beyond the alcohol stage and used as a condiment and preservative." When wine sits to long it turns to vinegar. Meaning, once you have uncorked the wine (per say) and you do not refrigerate it, it will ferment..... it will turn to vinegar.
(I must say I found out years ago after saving a bottle of wine that had been opened. I put the cork back in and didn't think anything of it. One night I thought wine sounds like a good idea. The "Blue Nun" had turned to vinegar. ha ha ha)

The only time you don't see your sandwich is when they put it in the conveyor belt oven to toast it. Once its out the oven, you can dress the sandwich, like Subway, by picking and choosing your ingredients.
The only different between Subway and Quiznos is the oven. Quznos will oven toast your sandwich while Subway uses a panini press.Other than that, the two companys are pretty much the same in they way they prepare your sandwich.
Also, you don't have to get your sandwich toasted. Just let them know you want it untoasted. A lot of people think you have to get it toasted but toasting is an option. I was over at my friend's house and her dad made home made Italian bread and we had meatball sandwiches. It was sort of like a sub shaped bread like you would find at Quizno's. So how do I make this Italian bread?
Thanks|||1 cup warm water (between 105 and 115 degrees F)
1/2 cup warm skim milk (between 105 and 115 degrees F)
2 Tbsp. honey
2-1/4 tsp. active dry yeast
3 cups bread flour
1 cup semolina flour
1 tsp. sea salt (such as Maldon sea salt)
2 Tbsp. olive oil
coarse cornmeal
olive oil-flavored nonstick cooking spray
In the mixing bowl of an electric mixer or a large mixing bowl, combine water, milk, and honey. Sprinkle yeast over top. Allow to stand 10-15 minutes until foamy. Add 2 cups of bread flour. Using electric stand mixer or electric hand mixer, beat on low for 4 minutes. Cover bowl with a towel. Place in an unheated oven and allow to stand 1-2 hours.
Remove bowl from oven and add remaining cup of bread flour, semolina flour, salt and olive oil. Using your electric mixer with a dough hook, beat for 5 minutes. Spray another large mixing bowl with nonstick cooking spray. Pour dough into that bowl. Turn over until dough is covered with oil. Cover and let rest 15 minutes.
Sprinkle a cookie sheet with several teaspoons of cornmeal. Divide dough in half. Shape each half into an oval mound. Flatten slightly until each half is about 6 inches across. Spray tops of dough loaves with nonstick spray. Put cookie sheet into unheated oven to rise another 30 minutes to 1 hour, until doubled. Remove dough from oven. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Using a sharp knife, make 3 slits across top of bread about 1/4 inch deep. Fill a small round cake pan with 1/2 inch of water. Place on cake pan on bottom rack in oven. Place cookie sheet with bread dough on it on the middle rack of the oven. Bake 25 minutes or until lightly browned. If bread browns too quickly, cover it with foil for the last 5-10 minutes of baking.|||If you add garlic powder, oregano, & parmesan cheese to your regular roll dough that should do it. Start with small amounts and adjust it every time you make it until it suits you. Then just shape it like a sub.

Both Subways and Quizno's look good but they don't taste that great because they don't use quality veggies, cheeses and ham so they have to use 3 tons of high calories sauces to make it taste like something, and Quizno is very greasy.
So I shamelessly copy their sandwiches at home, with good quality products, like tomatoes that taste like tomatoes, not water, and good quality meat or cheeses. Then I don't have to put a lot of sauce to cover the fact that my ingredients taste like water.

Im 15 years old and i want to work at a fast food restaurant because retail stores and grocery stores don't accept 15 year olds in chicago. so what is the best fast food restaurant to work at that will give me good money. He Had to get a work permit and is only able to work around 15hours a week.|||I personally would try to find somethin different than the food industry unless of course your hungry.... I would consider working at a day care of lifeguarding. I want to aquire an exisiting franchise (owner is retired and doesn't have the ability to run it anymore) of a Quizno's. Hes asking for $75,000 total (including franchise fees). If I got an SBA loan, whats the percentage typically I would have to put down?|||Here's what I'd do: Offer the owner 20% down and have him carry the paper at an interest rate somewhat higher than he can earn on 10 year Treasury notes (currently about 5%). The rate can be floating and reviewed every year. Go for as long a term as possible (5 years minimum). Collateralize the loan using the business.
This is a win-win situation all around and beats the bank for both of you. In the first place he has got to be brutally honest with you about the businesses cash flow and P&L. Since he is dependent upon you for the payback he'll want to make sure the business can afford the payment. Second, you get a rate less than you'll get from a bank loan and he gets a rate higher than he can get from safe fixed asset investments. Third, he'll be much more flexible than a bank if a business downturn causes you to have to miss a payment. Fourth, this is usually the way these things are done and honest business sellers know this.
Since the business is paying off the loan the interest is deductible as a business expense regardless of what your personal situation is.
If he says be wants the $75,000 in cash you can counter by offering more for the business. Paying $100,000 to him requires only an additional $5,000 in cash at 20% down.
Forget the SBA and banks and do your deal with the current owner directly. If he insists on cash and is not fully forthright in showing you the books, bank deposits records, franchise agreements, Schedule C or other IRS business returns then run away from this deal: He is trying to sell you a pig in a poke.|||When I checked on something similar a few years ago, they said they wanted 20% down. They wanted to know that I had something invested, too, before they would loan any of it. I would expect it's pretty much the same today, depending on your credit rating and if you have collateral (real estate, or?).|||In my bank Amsouth Bank we usually want 15% down.. If there is no collateral you may want to get a home equity line of credit.. Rates are generally better and the interest in a personal tax write off.... Of the two major sub shops in America,which do you prefer? I know that there are other sub shops out there,but like I said,the two major sub shops-Quizno's Subs or Subway.|||quizno's for sure.. subway is skimpy on the meat!|||Subway. It's not too expensive. I think the food is worth it, especially the Italian Sammie. But here is a menu from one Quizno restaurant. Remember that the prices vary from store to store. I don't believe there will be a big price differance though.

Yes.|||I much prefer coke, and I do find it dissapointing when they only have pepsi, although I don't suppose it's bad enough to say I hate them. If I ask for coke and they say "is pepsi ok?" then I will ask for dr. pepper, and that's fine. I don't like it when they don't tell you anything and just automatically bring you pepsi. I don't like pepsi much.
Taco Bell: Don't like it very much anyway, so choice of drinks don't matter, I don't go there.
Quiznos: Don't have one in my town so I have only ate there a time or two. Not bad, but Subway is just as good.|||If you hate Coke, then you'll hate eating out at restaurants in Atlanta (home of Coke and The World of Coca Cola). I'm not a fan of Coke products. I prefer Dr Pepper and Pepsi products.
Every restaurant in Atlanta sells Coke products. My answer to that was to order a tall glass of water. You know what really sucked about that. Bar and restaurants would carry 20 different brands of Vodka, Whiskey, etc but only one brand of Cola (Coke). What if I don't want a Jack -n- Coke? I've tried Jack -n- Pepsi and prefer it more.

Our location sells approximately 3000 sandwiches, salads and wraps. Sales are pretty evenly spread over lunch and supper hours. Our particular store is slower on the weekends then during the week.

i worked at locations w/different owners and i've only recieved 1 W-2 or separte ones?|||depends on who owns the stores. i think quizno's is a franchise, so anyone could own the store. if two different corporations own them, they are two different companies and you should get 2 w-2's if there is one corp that owns both (or several) locations, you should get one.|||one for each store.

Lettuce, tomatoe, cucumbers, pickles, black olives, hot and sweet peppers. Oil vinegar, salt pepper, and oregano. Not Toasted.|||I prefer Quizno's as they have a much more innovative menu and I like to pretend I'm a little gourmet. Their veggie sub with guacamole and red wine vinaigrette blows anything Subway can put together out of the water. That said, I do eat Subway more often, though, because there is one in my town and Quizno's is an hour away.|||Quizno's is the best sandwich, it's tasty and hot! Subway is healthy so they have a different kind of customers than Quizno's. Blimpie's? A) Quizno's - more meat. Also, Quiznos doesn't offer all the "skinny subs" that Subway offers. As a result, I believe the people who frequent Quiznos are generally fatter. If the sandwich isn't enough for the T-Rex, he could snack on the fatties dining at Quiznos.

I recently got a part time job at Quizno's. I have never had a job, so I was wondering what to expect on my first day. Is there anyone who has worked at Subway or Quizno's, that can give me some advice?|||I was a manager at Subway. Get ready to cut a lot of veggies and burn your hand making bread. People are very picky about their sandwiches and for goodness sake DO NOT touch your hair, LOL Some woman will flip out and end up getting all her food free for a year. Oh yeha and one more thing... Don't let the rude people get you down. They act like jerks b/c they are on the other side of the counter. When in reality, they probably work at Burger King... :) Oh yeah and no matter how big the urge is, do not throw steaming hot chicken teryaki in their face.. I perfer quizno's.
To me subway is nasty. Quizno has more flavor and the ingredients are much better.|||You know why Jared lost all that weight? It's called "bulimia." You'd throw up constantly too if you ate at Subway as much as he does! I'd rather eat off the platform of a subway station. It'll almost be cleaner, too.
Quizno's is much better. Like the commercial says, it's not lackin' any meat. That's what real women want? Real men hear ya, lady. And for those people who won't eat meat, I say go to Subway. Turns out that the $5 large sandwich promotion (copycat of Subways) only applies to 4 of the listed sandwiches, not to all of them (just found out during my lunch--the other choices cost $7).

Yes Subway came out with $5 Sandwiches, and Quizno's copied them...but you are not looking at Subway copying Quiznos on the TOASTY subs.
Restaurants and other businesses have to meet competitor price otherwise their sales will go down.

Let me tell you, I just had the Turkey and Cheddar today when I went to Hollywood for a bit, and I regret it so much. I got the five dollar one, and i was horrified to learn that it's more than 1300 calories and it didn't even taste that great. Do NOT get tuna. It's way more than 2000 calories for one sandwich.

I make this home-made self-created sandwhich, and the honey mustard sauce from Quizno's would be PERFECT for it. I've tried a variety of honey mustard sauces from the grocery, and all are much too mustardy and tart for the sandwhich. There are many varieties of horseradish sauce on the market.
Try a few and see if you find one that suits you.
They are usually in the same aisle as mayo, mustards, and other condiments.
The easiest thing would be to buy some prepared horseradish and mix some with your favorite mayo or Miracle Whip. taste it and see if thats what you are looking for.|||It's basically horse radish and mayonnaise. The difference is artificial horse radish.
The secret to most such sauces is a high level of fat, which people can then add to their local sandwoch.|||2 teaspoons Honey Mustard, 2 teaspoons mayo, 1 teaspoon horseradish and a teaspoon honey.|||I find that a blend of Mayo and sour cream or Greek style yogurt and horseradish makes an awesome sauce, I love it on beef sandwiches.

These items are very pricey though! They taste great, but when you compare what you get at other sandwich shops for the price you pay, I am not sure that they are that much greater than others. They really do need to come down on their pricing. Almost ten dollars for a small sized sandwich and a drink.|||Quizno's is definitely not the best place ever to get a sandwich. Rising bread has yeast in it which is a living thing, so depending on how strict of a vegetarian you are you might not eat it.

Quizno's regular subs are good but they are smaller than Subway's

Subway is the place to go if you want a $5 Footlong sandwich, toasted , and loaded to the teeth with everything you want that can easily equal 2 meals.
The Subway combo is less than $4.

The difference in the amount of food is staggering but the difference in price is a dollar.

I've only been here in the U.S. for a few years, and I find it difficult to order from a restaurant because they usually ask a lot of questions. So I just sometimes order what's on the menu (or if there's a picture that I can see - much better!)

Not surprisingly the subway went out of business. I guess my point is that for every subway it is going to be different. It will also depend on what shift you work, and how many people are working with you.|||250+
at least 100|||I worked at Subway for two years. My store made anywhere from 500-700 a day. My shift was 11-7 during lunch and dinner so I would say that I myself made about 200 a day. Seems like alot aft first but after awhile you can make a sandwich in like 30 seconds.

Can u help?|||Quizno's Honey Mustard Dressing
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 cups mayonnaise
5 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1. Microwave, or heat in a small saucepan, the honey, sugar and lemon juice until just hot enough to dissolve sugar. Do not boil. Stir well to combine.
2. Combine honey mixture with mayonnaise and mustard, and stir or whisk until thoroughly combined. Keep refrigerated.
Here I found it online for you!|||You can just make your own. It is super easy!!! I make mine with Dijon Mustard but you can use regular. Just mix mayo, mustard and honey to taste. More mustard if you like that or honey if you like it sweeter. =-)

Does anyone have a duplicate recipe? Any idea what kind ingredients are in there and how I could make it? I love their subs with this sauce but I'm sick of paying a king's ransom for them!|||Roasted Garlic Peppercorn Sauce --
INGREDIENTS
1 whole head garlic
1 teaspoon olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon ground mixed peppercorns
1 pinch ground nutmeg
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Slice off the top third of the head of garlic so the tips of the cloves are exposed. Place in a small baking dish, and add just enough water to cover the bottom of the dish. Drizzle the olive oil over the top of the garlic, then cover with a lid or foil. Bake for 45 minutes.

Toast whole red peppercorns for 1 minute. Ground until fine. Place the egg yolk, mustard, garlic, lemon juice, one heaping tablespoon ground pink peppercorn, pinch salt, and a dash of Worcestershire sauce into a food pocessor or a salad bowl if you prefer to whisk by hand. Blend and then add the olive oil in a slow, steady stream until it is fully incorporated. If the dressing becomes too thick, add a touch of warm water to thin out. Add the cheese and continue to blend. Refrigerate until needed.

Their prime rib is delicious too with the peppercorn sauce. But if you want all the other stuff, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. get those sandwiches.
This is my favorite of sandwich chain. Some others prefer Subway or Port of Subs. Be interesting if they read your question, give their answer and then put who they prefer.

I make this home-made self-created sandwhich, and the honey mustard sauce from Quizno's would be PERFECT for it. I've tried a variety of honey mustard sauces from the grocery, and all are much too mustardy and tart for the sandwhich. I live in Canada (easter Canada, to be specific) in what would be considered a small city. Are there any brands (a brand is better, if you can name that) that are very similar to that honey-mustard Quizno's taste?|||I don't know of any brand that is similar to that honey mustard from Quizno's, but why don't you try experimenting with what you have? If the sauce is too mustardy, add some honey to it! Or, contact Quizno's in Canada and ask them if you could get some take home samples of the sauce, or even if they would be willing to sell you a little. It doesn't hurt to ask- 1-877-481-7827 x245. There are lots of recipes for honey mustard sauces on the internet, even on Yahoo answers. You could try any of those and see if they might be reasonable substitutes.

The dressing(if you use limited), about 20 calories
So this all adds upto about 350 calories - it's a light meal, but if you want to make it healthier, eat it open-faced with only one piece of bread - that itself saves about 75 calories.|||It is about 350 calories. Three-Pepper Chili Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
5 lb Ripe plum tomatoes (about 18)
4 cups chopped seeded sweet red peppers (about 1 lb)
2 cups chopped seeded Anaheim or Cubanelle peppers (8 oz)
1 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped seeded jalapeqo peppers
1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
1-1/2 cups cider vinegar
1 tsp salt
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp each celery seeds and cinnamon
1/4 tsp Eech ground ginger, nutmeg and pepper
Pinch ground cloves
Directions:
Using tip of knife, score X on bottom of each tomato. In large pot of boiling water, blanch tomatoes for 1 to 2 minutes or just until skins start to loosen. Drain and plunge into cold water. Slip off skins; chop tomatoes to make about 9 cups (2.25 L).
In large heavy nonaluminum saucepan, combine tomatoes, red peppers, Anaheim peppers, onions and jalapeqo peppers; add sugar, vinegar, salt, bay leaf, celery seeds, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, pepper and cloves. Bring to boil, stirring often. Reduce heat and simmer briskly, stirring often, for about 75 minutes or until thickened. Discard bay leaf.
Transfer 3 cups (750 mL) to food processor or blender; purie until smooth. Return to pan and simmer for 15 minutes longer.
Pour chili sauce into hot 1-cup (250 mL) canning jars, leaving 1/2-inch (1 cm) headspace. Seal with prepared discs and bands. Process in boiling water bath for 20 minutes.

Commercials are expensive to make and to get aired on the television, so my advice to you is to either change the channel or look the other way. It's the best clam chowder I've ever had ( and I've been to restaurants on the Chesepeke ). Does anyone know who supplies it to them?|||Actually, I've never been to a Quizno's, but your "best" comment raised my interest. So I did a search, and found a menu page. Here's the portion for their soups (you're right, no clam chowder mentioned), and scroll down. There's an icon where you can enter a comment. Give 'em Hell. Is there anything I should prepare for?|||A couple of tips from a fellow fast food worker:
1. Be as fast as you can, figure out all the shortcuts that you can.
2. DO NOT CALL IN 5 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR SHIFT, and DO NOT DO IT ALL THE TIME. That's a sure-fire way to get canned.
3. Always look busy, there is always something to do.
4. When something is done wrong, yell at a co-worker...then apologize when the customer is gone. It always makes you look like you care, and very often the customer won't complain to corporate. Make sure your co-worker knows what you're doing.
5. Keep the place as clean as possible.
6. Always repeat orders back to the customer, some will be jerks and rattle off things too fast for you.
7. There will be jerks, just deal with them. You will figure out some people are annoyingly cheap, I'm not telling you who. Just give them their discounts to get them off your back.|||customers always right|||you will be taxed on your 7.00/hr income and only on the taxes you claim, if you even need to.

Prepare to be on your feet for long periods of times. This is probably gonna be easier then working at a mcdonalds because they wont be as fast paced all the time. Just make sure you have comfortable sneakers.

If you are a student working part time and being claimed on your parents taxes you are probably taxed exempt. That means they will not take out taxes, but you will have to pay social security. The managers should be able to help you, they are used to working with 16 year olds.

Just remember to always be courteous to the customer even if they are really nasty-its all part of customer service. Ingredients
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons honey
2 teaspoons salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 cup olive oil (vegetable oil works just as well)
How to make it
Mix all the ingredients except the oil in a blender. Add the oil gradually while blending.
You could also use a salad dressing mixing bottle, or a plain plastic bottle to mix this.

I was at quizno's the other day and i asked for bacon on my sub. They pulled out these bacon pieces that looked like jerkey. How do they make bacon in that form? Or how would i obtain bacon in that form for my kitchen?|||If you want your bacon to fry up crisply, without having to overcook it, add about 1/4 inch of water to the frying pan when you first put in the bacon. It will evaporate off as you cook the bacon, and the bacon will cook more evenly and be crispier.|||I think they just cook it, making sure it lies flat while it cooks and that it cooks until it's crispy. Broiling is a good way to do that. Microwaving works too, with a piece of paper towel under and over the bacon so it doesn't splash grease all over. You can also buy pre-cooked bacon but I haven't tried it, don't know if it's any good.|||They buy it pre cooked, then crisp it up in the microwave.
