Someone told me the salads are heavy and I'd always thought those were good. Now, everytime I go I get a regular size sandwich on wheat, ask them to put just a small amount of mayonnaise on one side, turkey, ham, mozzarella cheese and lettuce. I eat at Quizno's often, so is this a healthy meal?|||I guess it depends on your definition of "healthy".
It sure beats a burger and fries, but if you have a salad with a light dressing - not stuffed with cheese, nuts and dried sugared fruit, you don't have the carbs in that giant chunk of bread the meat and cheese is enveloped by.
Healthy doesn't necessarily mean low-cal. Low-cal doesn't mean healthy. It's about getting the protein, nutrients and fiber you need in your daily diet without going overboard on starches, empty calories, sugars, etc.
Mozzarella cheese is a better choice - but ham? Stick to the turkey. Have the sandwich open face - toss half the bread. Use mustard instead of mayo, has more flavor and less fat. Try some tomato slices or other vegetable along with.
And eat an apple. :P
It's all about choices.|||No. It's very high in calories. The small sandwiches average 600 calories and 30 grams of fat. Of course, that's still better than their salads. The Caesar salad is 1000 calories and 64 grams of fat. Find a grocery store; you'll save money and loosen your waistband.|||No. Ham has sodium, mayo has too many carbos, cheese should be low fat and limit to one slice. Salads should be with lite, low fat or low calorie dressings. Tea or coffee with low fat milk or skim milk and soda should be diet. Best to drink water.|||Their salads look good but I don't think they are that healthy. Control how much dressing you put on your salad. And as for the sandwiches, wheat is a good choice and try to get lots of vegetables. If you're looking for more healthier options Subway has them.|||If you mean healthy as not a hazard for your body, yes... but if you mean as to help you lose weight... I don't know if we can say "yes, it'll help you lose weight". Just keep your weight on check every week, ok? Good Luck!|||you must be rich to eat there often!!! but i doubt it's the healthiest thing for you. but it is way better for you than mcdonalds or burgerking ect.|||well its not all that healthy with the mayo and cheese. and have to be careful of the sodium in ham and the cheeese too =P lol|||Better than most fast foods but a home cooked meal is much better. A close second (if health is so important) is to go to wally world and make yourself a coldcut. Hint: fast food stockers use preservatives for longer shelflife|||I mean, comparatively, a sandwich is a fairly healthy meal. As long as your overall diet is balanced, you should be okay! And good job putting less mayo :D|||I like Quizno's. I usually get swiss cheese and pastrami with mustard on wheat. Those are not as fattening as a Big Mac. I also get a diet Sprite with it.|||Go to their website and check out the nutrition facts. I didn't see a sandwich under 300 calories and that was prob without cheese!
http://www.quiznos.com/subsandwiches/Pro鈥?/a>|||They're only healthy if you get it with no cheese or condiments. Also, no cheese.|||LMAOO|||Too mych of anything is a bad thing.
that guy (Jared?) who went on the subway diet probley almost died...LOL
balance.|||nope. if u wanna lose weight go to subway. they still are the freshest and healthiest sub maker unless u do it your self then it is healthy and cheaper :)|||Well subs have a lot of calories..
But subway is better anyway!!|||Fast food isn't healthy, I don't care what people pretend to know...|||NOT AT ALLLL|||uhhh.... i think subway is the healthy one...|||yes|||lol I don't think so :) just go to subway|||no! and no! just look up the calorie index online.|||i dont think so...!
try making your own sandwich..how hard is that??|||Here is the total truth
Its a healthy, but fatening and heavy meal
It has all teh good things, good for your body, and has the right amount of calories, but from what the girls i know want to eat, that is fattening.
Basicly
If u want to be anerexic and only care about ur looks and not ur health
Eat diferent
If u want to be, maybe, not fat but not skinny, the perfect weight *i mean not actually ideal for your height that is the healthiest* and u want to be healthy, that sounds like a good meal, but maybe get some more dary like some milk in there
Hope i helped :)
EDIT: I keep reading people saying, it has carbos, it has calories ect... Those are good as long as there HOLE calories, like, sure, ham is fatening, but it has hole calories, good for your body and gives u more energy to do stuff to burn it off.
Healthy doesent mean low calories, and it doesent mean low carb. it means, right amount of hole calories, good amount of carbs, protein, fiber, vitamines *Naturelle, not pill ones*.
