We only have the most basic ones here (ie Mc Donald's, Burger King etc).
Other chains such as Whataburger, Del Taco, Carl's Jr, Hardees, Church's, Checker's, Rally's, Taco Time, In N Out, Scholtzsky's and many others are all over the country but for some reason avoid New England like the plague. We were even the last region to get a Quizno's.
New England is fairly well populated, so it's not like there would be a lack of customers.
Does anybody know why this is?|||Many of those are regional - In-n-Out is west coast only, Carl's Jr and Hardee's are the same, Hardee's being the eastern region. Whataburger seems to be in the south. I think shipping costs to the NE are significantly more, because trucks usually have to come back empty from there.|||because most people in NE just eat a lot of seafood. and there is no money comin from ne . it is not commercial|||Do we really need more fast food restaurants??? You don't find any in the Cape and Islands and honestly, I think that's a plus.|||I don't know--are you too far from the cows?
A lot of the places you mentioned aren't quite as national as you think. There isn't a whataburger, del taco, taco time, or in N out anywhere near me. I've seen one Scholtzky's in Virginia--maybe there are more, but I wouldn't say we 'have' them here.
We do have some other home-grown chains, like Five Guys burgers. Maybe you can fill the void by creating your own fast food restaraunt that has something BK, McD's, etc. don't. Either better quality burgers, or better tacos than Taco Bell, or better sandwiches than subway. If you don't have them, I'll bet the market is there. Start with a restaraunt, but keep an eye open to expand or franchise your brand out, and see what happens.|||In my populated town we only have thease resteraunts
Mc Donalds, Dairy Queen, Subway, Tocco bell, Papa Jonhs Pizza hut, Arbys, MccQue's. and I heven't even heard of any of the resteraunts you don't have exept for HArdees
